Using Climate Data for Decision Making: The Leuven Climate Data Event

On Februari 13th, KU Leuven organised their USAGE-project event to show the curent status of the project to stakeholders.

The day started with an introduction by Geert Vanhorebeek (City of Leuven) on the climate challenges the city of Leuven is currently facing. Afterwards there was an exciting lineup of presentations, including SADL's (KU Leuven) Naomi Thiru, who shared our project's latest results. An Heirman from GIM talked about digital twins, while Laura Dens (City of Leuven) & Jurgen Silence (Digital Flanders) introduced the URBREATH Project (Horizon Europe) and highlighted key synergies between our initiatives.

The second half of the day was all about interaction—participants engaged directly with our project results in hands-on sessions. Using the perspective of the urban data space board each type of stakeholder (represented by the participants) looked at the results and how 'decision ready' they are. This provided us with very valuable feedback from potential end-users.

A big thank you to all speakers, attendees, and contributors for making this event a success! 🌎
