Datathon Ferrara 2022

28 November 2022. Usage is going to Italy to attend the first edition of the Datathon Ferrara!

The Datathon Ferrara is a marathon in which participants work as a team and come up with ideas to use the data in an innovative way. During the Datathon, 16 teams use the 30 data-sets made available by the Municipality of Ferrara, cross-reference them with other sources, process and propose 11 innovative ideas for analyses, estimates and visualisations. The aim is to explore unusual solutions, build maps, design infographics or draw simple ideas.

More than 60 data-runners (data-addicted, students, researchers, activists) were involved while 20 experts serving as coaches (Piergiorgio Cipriano from Deda Next), mentors, and tutors from universities, IT companies, Research institutes (Fabio Remondino from FBK) lead the teams to better understand big data, tools, and methodologies toward a data-driven society.
