USAGE takes on board EU policy expertise

In May 2023, the partners, led by Lisbon Council, conducted interviews with more than ten European experts covering the variety of policy topics that USAGE touches upon. The intricacies of an Urban Data Space for the Green Deal were explored with representatives from the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG Connect) and Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG Clima), the Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC), the Green Deal Data Space (GREAT) and the Data Space for Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities (DS4SSCC).

Obviously, USAGE aims to contribute to the broader initiative of a European Green Deal Data Space. At the same time, operating at the city level, developments related to the Data Space for Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities are of the utmost importance as well. And let's not forget the EU Missions on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities and Adaptation to Climate Change. Once all interviews have been completed and analysed, a more detailed overview of the USAGE policy landscape will be shared with you.
