Practicing FAIRness for geospatial and cross-border data
2023, February 28. GO-PEG consortium organizes the workshop: Practicing FAIRness for geospatial and cross-border data.
In this online event GO-PEG partners will share lessons learnt and experiences regarding putting into practice the FAIR principles and assessing geospatial data FAIRness.
Five invited speakers from EU Institutions (EEA, JRC, CNECT, ESTAT, data.europa.eu) will give an overview on the current and future data policies trends, challenges envisaged, status-quo of data policies implementation (e.g. HVDs, data spaces, data “FAIRification”), focusing primarily on what is really needed to boost and sustain a true data economy.
Then experiences from the GO-PEG project about FAIRification of geospatial cross-border data and FAIRness assessment will be shared.

About Go-PEG project
The main objective of the GO-PEG project is to provide access to harmonized thematic open datasets and their corresponding metadata in areas such as environment, emergency and disaster management. GO-PEG focuses on practical applications in real-world use-cases. Lessons learnt in GO-PEG are therefore practically applicable in your own use cases. GO-PEG looks forward to share with you the lessons learnt and the experience gained.
